Figures and sources
Every legal or financial figure we print on our sites, with the official source it comes from and the date we last checked it. Open the source to read it for yourself.
A figure appears here only when it is backed by an official source: a government or other issuing authority. Where we have no official source we print no number, only wording that says we will confirm it in writing for your case. Rules change, so check the source’s own page and date before you rely on a figure.
